Failed NCLEX in CA

I think its official. I took the NCLEX on the 6/23. The results were to be posted today on the BRN CA website. But when I type in my name -- nothing comes up. By any chance anybody who has taken the NCLEX in CA miracously have they're name show up a week or two later? :o

The computer stopped me at 75 -- I guess I was doing so horrible that they needed me to stop. Worst feeling for me yet! ... :crying2:

California does not participate in quick results, one major reason that they will permit a new grad to sit for the NCLEX before they have their official transcripts as long as their name is on a list of expected to graduate.

So all of you just sit tight........ :)

My classmate who took the NCLEX on Saturday already found out that she passed. So I dont believe that transcripts have anything to do with my results.

I am suppose to start my new job on the 11th. Do you think I should call the nurse manager right now and tell her what happened on the NCLEX or should I wait until I get the confirmation letter. Or just tell her several days before I actually start.

Sorry, but finding out already is extremely fast for CA, not all do. And transcripts are the biggest thing, even if you passed NCLEX, CA will not release your license until they have your transcripts. Best bet is to check with them first.

California is one of the only states that I know of that will permit a new grad to test without having their transcripts. You are doing yourself a disservice by not checking, but it is your choice.

Remember, that even if you do pass, they will not notify you until they have your transcripts. That is why there is no early notification for CA.

I received the same letter, but California does not participate in the Quick Results program from Pearson. Results are not given until your file is complete with the BON. You can call the BON to see if they are still awaiting something (for me it is transcripts). Best of luck!! :)

Thanks, at least that's $7.95 I'll be saving :p
