hello im a foreign grad (2010) and currently studying for my nclex ( i know took me so long to take it). i first took my nclex exam 2011 when i got here in the states and to be honest i didn't really take it seriously.. and u guessed it right.. i failed.. last march 24 2014 i took it again.. studied really hard for this one.. but i went through a lot of rough times (which i don't want to mention anymore :( ) worked a lot of hours and had a little time for studying.. i really thought i was ready for the test... unfortunately.. i wasn't.. i failed again.. now i am so depressed don't know what to do anymore.. thinking of going back to the philippines and have my intensive review there.. but I've got so many bills to pay here in the states so i really have to work.. ugh so so torn.. what do u guys recommend? i did hurst btw and i think they're awesome.. not sure bout kaplan tho.. I'm planning to talk to my manager and have her change my ached from full time to part time. i'll dedicate more hours to studying.. what do u recommend.. please help me coz i am super confused :( i don't want to fail again.

I am also a foreign graduate just like you, I know how it felt to failed the test because I took it once and failed. I know you are depressed right now but give your self a time cause you just took it, take a little break, clear your head and then review like it's your full time job, I am taking my NCLEX on Saturday and I cannot say I'm 100% ready I might pass it this time or maybe not but one thing is for sure I won't give up cause if you survive nursing school and in your heart you're a nurse then you are meant to be a nurse. Don't lose hope. They say Kaplan is okay you might want to try it.

hello! thank you so much for the advice.. yeah it so hard and hurts so much when u know u really did work hard for it.. i wish you good luck! i know you'll pass! let me know how it goes.. :)

oh hi @MacBook Pro…. I'm from the philippines too,. currently residing here in hawaii,., i graduated last march of 2013,. took the PNLE last dec 2013,. and flew back here o feb 4 of this year for my nclex,, ,. yes, we share common goals as foreign grad which is to make big here in the US though it might not that be as easy as we thought of, but we're "PINOYs" and we don't easily give up,. yeah, i had my chance, so what i did is to dwell more of my time studying (35 days to be exact),.. cause of financial constraints i never joined a review or online classes for this exam meaning i self-reviewed, i borrowed my cousins saunders comprehensive book 5th ed as my reference,.,studied most of the day 8-9 hours but hey don't be surprised i got MORE BREAKS in between (fb,IG,etc) Lmao,. but going back,. here's my tip,, as much as possible consider only using ONE or Two(max) as your reference so you won't confuse yourself,. studied the entire book for 2 weeks,., and did all the QnA's in the disc (100-150 questions per day),, it has 4000plus i guess,., which i believe will prepare you enough on the exam,., put more emphasis on the alternate format questions., SATA most especially,. on the later part of my review,., cause i took with me my old kaplan book (2008-2009 ed), i used it for the purpose of knowing how to strategies,. but here's the thing,., use strategy guide materials ONLY as supplementary to you review,., you just don't wanna rely on that during the exam,. so what I'm saying is know your CONCEPT… which i guarantee saunders can provide,. "i believe",.. that's pretty much it,., yeah, just took my exam on March 15,2014 here,., and in god's grace i was able to make it on my first try.,, i stopped at no.75 in 2:30 min,., so don't loose your hope,. keep studying and most of all PRAYING as well,., best of luck kabayan,. will pray for you,., GOD bless!!! :)

Do not give up, keep your head up:. If i were you, i would go part time to have more time for good studying sections..
