Does anyone have any extra duties added to their job since COVID besides contact tracing? I am now in charge of all attendance updates, however, recently a secretary has taken it upon herself to begin updating attendance again. I have brought it up to her on several occasions and she tells me that she's "only trying to help because I'm too busy".

Do you know why that was added to your job, ie what does that have to do with COVID? (or was it just coincidental...)
I'd be happy to have the admin begin doing attendance again. You sound as if you'd rather keep that duty???

The only extra duties I am doing post Covid are Rapid testing of staff and students (with parent permission) and distributing the weekly sentinel testing kits that our state is offering to staff and parents. Our secretaries and/or admins do all the contact tracing and monitoring of quarentine/exclusion dates. I've never done attendance, even before covid.

Our district decided to have the Nurses take over the attendance instead of the secretaries that were doing the attendance due to Confidentiality reasons with COVID.

Considering contact tracing, COVID is the worst-kept confidentiality health issue EVER.

I am OK with extra duties, as long as they would explain why it was being delegated to me.

I have never done attendance, but it has always been our policy to have the nurse follow up on any absences that are unreported. Pre-COVID, if they were reported absent, but no reason was given, it was an automatic unexcused. Now I have to follow up on all of those calls, too. Which is actually good because a number of them have been families with exposure who don't want to reveal the true nature, but with me calling, they usually fess up.
I do rapid testing, pool testing when we don't have a team available, reflex testing from the pools; We were contact tracing, but that is over with now, so now just managing return dates for positive students. I also am the entryway guardian at dismissal time. Occasionally I'll cover the main office or a classroom, but that's usually for 15min or less, and I could *technically* refuse since my contract states no extra duties, but we are all hands on deck right now, and I feel that door duty is the least I can do, tbh.
