Exit Hesi

Published

It will be time to take my exit hesi in May and I am sooo nervous. Does anyone have any tips or things they used to study? It seems like it has been so long since we went over some of this information..

I would just practice doing NCLEX-style questions from an NCLEX book if you have one. The Exit Hesi is comprehensive so you will see OB/Peds/Psych on there as well. It was a hard test, but just practice and you will be fine! Good luck.

I would start preparing now. Don't waste any valuable time left.

I did all of the Exam Cram questions from the question book and after 1250 of them I got a 946 on my Hesi! I guess they helped!

I used the HESI review book from Evole. It also came with an online access code that gave you access to questions. I also bought the online case studies from Evolve. They were pretty thorough. Just took my exit Hesi today and got a 1001. Just 1 more month nad I'm done!!!

Took and passed our HESI in March. I did the Hurst online review and tons of NCLEX style questions. If you have an IPhone, you can download several apps that have several hundred questions (Saunders, Mosby's). I would crack out the phone and quiz myself any chance I had.

Some people swear by study guides and online programs. I found that the Hurst did a decent job at refreshing some of the early material. However, repetitive NCLEX questions kind of primes your brain for taking the HESI. Good luck...

Man! my school has been taking HESI tests since day one of nursing school. 2 a term, and we had to average 75% or higher to pass each term. we started with 65 students and will only graduate 34 in a month from now. we also have to pass an exit exam, but at this point we are all so familiar with the testing style I'm sure it wont be that difficult.

Update on my post last night.

Took my exit exam today and got 1000. My school requires 900 for graduation! Woohoo!
