Are you aware that EC is not an entry to practice BSN? It's an RN (ASN or diploma) bridge to BSN program for currently licensed nurses "upgrading" their education.
Yes... I'm in nursing school now earning my ADN... I'm just trying to get info because I would like to continue on to my BSN then MSN once I graduate
You can also do RN to MSN instead of RN to BSN then BSN to MSN
Do you know of a program that will accept ITT (breckinridge) credits.... The only two I know of our Indiana State University and excelsior..... Also Maryville
Not very many due to the type of accreditation the ITT tech programs have, very few will accept the credits in transfer

This thread/discussion has been moved to the Excelsior Nursing Program forum with the goal of accrual of responses from others who have attended this unique program. Good luck to you!
what if I obtain my ADN from a school that is not accredited....... But then go on to earn my BSN from an appropriate accredited school..... Would my BSN be looked at because it came from a CCNE accredtited school or would the ADN ruin any chances of that
It depends on what you are trying to accomplish with your education

I haven't seen any programs that discriminate against a BSN from an accredited school because the ADN was not accredited. The ADN can only be accredited by the NLNAC which is now ACEN. CCNE will only accredit BSN and MSN but not certificates, diplomas, or associate degrees. However, it's important to learn your area and to develop plans accordingly. .

You nee to be careful about going to non accredited schools. You will have difficulty transferring your license to certain other states. The will be difficulty in transferring your credits from a non accredited program to an accredited one.
For example...California does not recognize Excelsior nor Indiana state. Period. You most likely will NOT be able to transfer your license to any of those states. states that have explicit education requirements of concurrent theory and practicum
excelsior college new york nursing graduates have had same issue recently. see state board licensure requirements here]
Indiana State has also had issues....California LVN to BSN Students Hung Out to Dry by Sonoma State, Indiana State?
these are states having concerns over concurrent theory and practicum, so i would look at other 37 states to obtain license:
alabama
arizona
california
georgia
illinois
kansas
louisiana
maryland
north dakota
oklahoma
vermont
virginia
washington
That being said many have used these schools and been successful.
California BRN only does not accept the ASN from Excelsior. (LPN/medic/RRT to ASN bridge). The RN to BSN is not an issue as CABRN looks at initial qualifying education.
But the ITT ASN could be an issue with CABRN
