Exam question

What chemicals do nurses come into contact on a daily basis? Can anyone list the most common chemicals used by all nurses, specifically LPN's but RN's as well.

Chlorhexadine

Whatever the magic ingredient is in Cavi Wipes.

Nurses (and other healthcare and housekeeping personnel) on the wards are most frequently exposed to chemical cleaning and disinfecting agents.

My answer would also be alcohol and cleaning agents including basic hand soap. Then again, latex gloves contain chemicals as well.

oxygen

maybe Latex,( if that is a considered a chemical)

I would say the most often-encountered "toxic" chemical would be the ingredients in Cavi wipes and spray. I honestly don't know what it is, but I know I use gloves every single time I have to use them!
