Ew!

I can hear my patient's mother having sex with her boyfriend in the next room. Beyond grossed out.

Can you turn up the TV, or put on headphones, or sing to the baby?

Eeek! My sympathies!

This would probably be a situation where I would be uncomfortable enough around the boyfriend anyway that I would casually be looking for a new opportunity.

You poor thing! I've walked in on sexual activity while at work. I'm still traumatized and that was years ago.

That's unfortunate. However.... it must be rough to have nurses/providers in your house all or most of the time, so you gotta take your opportunities when you can, right? ;) But I empathize with you! Hopefully they were at least trying to be quiet ;)

The is why I am never without my earbuds.

Been there, done that. Yep, it's awkward. Still haven't found a solution other than changing cases. Good luck.

I had the TV LOUD but, alas, was headphone-less. It was so awkward!

I'm veering in that direction. Or considering starting my bridge to RN program.

Sex was one of the most awkward things for my husband and me. I know you wouldn't be able to hear us because of the layout of our house but you could if you needed to come down our hall to the linen closet. I was always so paranoid. We got good at having silent sex because we didn't want to weird out our nurses; we wanted nurses to be happy here. Twice our nurses needed us while we were busy and they were very, very professional when I came running down the hall wrapped in sheet.
