Entry-level MSN NP programs

Published

Hi!

I will be graduating in 2 weeks with a BA in Biology, and I've been looking ELMSN NP programs... I know of the schools that are offering that option within CA, but I was wondering if anyone knew of any other schools that I should apply to (out-of-state).. to increase my chances of getting into a school by next Fall.

Thanks!

There are a ton of programs out there. Off the top of my head, I can think of Yale, UPenn and Vanderbilt. If you have google, I'm sure you can find more programs.

Go to the program search tool of the American Association of Colleges of Nursing. Select "Entry Level Masters"

Specializes in Hospitalist Medicine.

Lots of schools have accelerated MNP or DNP programs. Take your pick...Google is your friend :D

Specializes in Critical Care, Education.

Before investing time & $ - be sure to investigate the job prospects for entry level MSNs in your area. I'm in a different part of the country, but nurse managers in my organization are no longer hiring them due to bad experiences. There can also be major issues with relocation to another state since licensure in many states is tied to fulfillment of curriculum associated with undergrad programs.

To HouTx,

Are entry-level MSN's look down upon in the nursing community?
