Hello I am Friday24.
I currently Passed and RN in Hawaii, I would like to ask about the Endorsement regarding Hawaii to Nevada, I am a US citizen and a SSN holder I also graduated Highschool in California and pursed my Nursing in the Philippines. I was told that Nevada does a case by case papers that don't allow you to take the English Proficiency Exam. I was hoping if anybody may have the same situation as me or have pass through this trial as I did i would like to inquiry information regarding what am I supposed to do.
Please message me to have a clear understanding in what am I supposed to do and furthermore regarding the Exam.

In my interactions with the Nevada State Board of Nursing, I found them responsive and cooperative. You might consider sending them an email, since no one here has responded yet.

They will require fingerprints when you apply. There are multiple places to get them done, but make sure to go to a place that submits them electronically, because they will be processed much faster (oddly, the Las Vegas Police Department doesn't). The NSBON website includes a list of places that do fingerprints, and it identifies the ones that submit electronically. You will also have to resubmit fingerprints every five years (mine is due now).

Hey!
How's your application with Nevada BON?
Our situation is almost similar and I have called Nevada BON before. I was told that if you earned your BSN/Nursing Internationally like Philippines, they will ask you to take English Proficiency test( TOEFL/Pearson test).
I hope you were able to successfully endorse your license without hassle.
I would love to hear from you!
hello, does nevada accepts ielts? because I already have one.

how did you know? did you asked them
"If you have been a licensed nurse in the United States less than five (5) years prior to submission of your application to Nevada, you are required to successfully pass one of the following English proficiency examinations. The minimum score of English proficiency must be achieved before you can be issued a license in Nevada. All test results must be sent directly to the Board. The Internet-based (IBT) TOEFL minimum score of 84, 26 spoken English; or Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE) with a minimum score of 55 and no individual section below 50; OR Submit documentation of successful completion of an English proficiency exam accepted by another US board of nursing that was required for licensure purposes"
qouted from nevada BON
what does no. 3 option means?

You may try to call them so you can personally talk to Nevada BON. I took and passed IELTS in 2016.

This is an unsolicited advise. You may also ask them what they meant by "LICENSED USRN, less than 5 years prior to application...". If licensed and working in the US as USRN? or LICENSED USRN and working outside US? This has a big difference because they wanna know that you can communicate with your coworkers and with the patient.
so finally asked the nevada BON. They said they do not accept ielts. I told them i dont understand the reason why its not accepted since it is an international language testing exam. any thoughts? For me, It doesnt makes sense at all. When most of the states accepts ielts.
