Does anyone know if excelaior college ADN classes transferable to any other colleges?

Featured Replies

They are an accredited college, so the credit will transfer.

Now if the school being transfered to accepts them or in what area they are accepted in will vary.

My nursing course credits from Excelsior transfered as elective credits for my BSN.

They will probably not transfer over as any type of nursing course/theory credit aside electives if you transferring to a regular college.

Did you have your adn with excelsior then transferred the credits for bsn?

University of Texas at Arlington took my Excelsior credits. Like one of the other nurses said, it is an accredited college. To the extent that they might accept their credits varies. I heard that Western Governors' require that nurses re-do the anatomy because it is suppose to have a lab component in order to be accepted by them.

You need to finish the ASN for the classes to transfer, though, to continue for a BSN. I am not aware of anywhere that takes other program's credits to finish the ASN. Actually, Excelsior is the one place I have seen that will waive some ASN courses for people who have completed courses in a BSN program.
