Where is Utica? Did you pass with sheri taylors program?

They are very picky..if the critial elements arnt addressed then you fail, just like that no warning. I just dont see how that can justify failing someone for something like not charting patient ready for teaching. They want you to spend extra money on workshops that are supposed to prepare you to pass the CPNE, isnt that what excelsior supposed to do?

Vgeorga...but it seems to ba at all the sites. Another reason i failed is in patient teaching.. i documented the type of teaching i did, what i taught the patient and the patient retuned demonstration and verbalized understanding of teaching, i failed because my note didnt include the patient was ready to learn. How can that constitute of anursibg program? It all in the siscretion of the examiners. They dont like what you wrote or how you did something you fail justt like that. Not fair at all

Did you have your adn with excelsior then transferred the credits for bsn?

There has been alot of changes. 4 out of the 5 students failed this weekend and one of the student was their second time. It is a 63% failure rate the first time.

How many students have taken the CPNE from Excelsior College and failed their first try?

Just went through it (actually driving home now from the testing sote) very hard..the examinera are very picky. One of thr areas they failed me oe is because of my nursig interventions. Ec cnsidered it a assesent not an intervention..i fot it from the most recent Ec appeoved nursing dx book under section nursing dz book. Out of the 5 students 4 students failed when i left was not sure about the 5th student. I left before her, and one student was a repeat student. The examinera make it more stressful they were rushy you, and not consistant, one examiner alloelwed extra time for a student to finish their charting and another examiner failed a student because they didnt finish their charting at the alloted time. Etc. I can go o and on
