which is the easiest unit on an AM shift?

My title says it all.. Which is the easiest unit on the hospital on an AM shift? Anyone?

No real way to answer. I think this would largely depend on each nurses strengths and weaknesses, as well as other factors like a unit's daily census, any complex pts, etc. There is simply no way to no.

thank you, christineN. So I guess I just got to try them all! lol! no, I mean, isn't there no such place in the hospital where its "slowest" than the rest? good answer though.

...Never mind- I see you're not a student...LOL

The day shift on our rehab unit isn't too horribly busy because the patients are in therapies much of the day. Otherwise I can't think of a unit in my place of employment that isn't hopping and jamming day and night. :)

Our Progressive Cardiac unit has really good ratios and I've worked there several times and thought it was a much lighter load than the med-surg unit I worked on.
