Drexel Interview!

I am looking to hear from anybody with any information on Drexel's interviews. Your reflections, expectations, your emotions. Because I am freaking out! I just interviewed and I left there more anxious than when I walked in to the interview. So somebody please calm me down!!!

What was so bad about it? Also, how many students do they take per class? I heard that there is a waiting list there, any truth to that?

Nothing was bad about it! It is just a very nerve recking situation. I am not good when in spotlight. The problem with that is that I felt as though I wasn't able to convey my abilities too well. They take 20 to 25 each year. This interview was for January 2007. That is the waiting list maybe that paople are talking about.

I'm sure that they are use to seeing nervous applicants and that they overlook it. Relax, I'm sure you did great.

i am a senior in the program. drexel unlike most other schools does a "rolling" admission - so if they like you - you are in - it may not be for a few years (waiting list) but they don't make you re-do the process. you should have had a great interview - the director, AD and all the staff are phenomenally nice - from what i have heard it is a very low stress process now... the staff wasn't the same when i interviewed 4 yrs ago.

if you do get in - you will like it. i feel this program has many benefits over others.

you should have had a great interview -

Well that makes me feel great! One of your classmates Steve (I think) was there. Very nice guy. Stuck around for hours and patiently answered all of our questions. I just couldn't tell from the faces if it was a positive interview or not. Well, we'll see next week. Maybe I am freaking out over nothing!!! :barf02:

Hey to all, I start at Drexel in Sept 06, I was accepted in Aug 05 and was due to start in Sept 05 but deferred my enrollment. Anyhow I interviewed with them when they were having something called transfer decision days where someone could go to admissions with a sealed official transcript, meet with an advisor and and get an acceptance or denial on the spot. Luckily I was accepted and my interviewer was most gracious. I didn't feel pressure and it was actually a very laid back interview. I even jumped up and gave her hug when she told me that she was going to recommend that I be accepted. She was superb. Don't worry Drexel is pretty cool when it comes to interviews, Now I have approximately 10mos to prepare myself for my long journey ahead

I think maybe you are talking about the BSN program. This forum is about the CRNA programs.

Hey guys! I just received a call from Drexel today that I was accepted for the class starting January 2007 !!! I am soooooooo happy. My hubby took me out to Bahama Breeze to celebrate. I feel fifty pounds lighter. What a Christmas gift. Love it.

Congratulations!!! That is a great present.

Congratulatons!!!!

The Drexel interview was very informal and less nerve racking then others (or so ive heard, I only interviewed at Drexel). I start Drexels Program January 2006 which is right around the corner, Yikes! Faculty is very nice and the program allows you to take 6 prerequisite courses the year prior to starting which should help with the workload (my cousin graduated from there and he advised me to take them!) If you have any questions feel free to ask!! Ill be leaving for Antigua on tues Dec. 13 after finishing my final! A much needed vacation prior to classes beginning fulltime!!!

Good Luck!

TNTsunflower - you will like the program - i graduate in may - it seems like just yesterday i started but the end still feels forever away... odd.

we will all meet you in january at the freshman/senior luncheon... enjoy your time until then.
