That C in anatomy worries me. I'm not saying you don't have a chance, but here, at my school in Kansas, they probably aren't going to look past that. But, then again, I've heard my school is super hard. If it were me, I'd retake that class at least, maybe even micro, in the hopes of getting those up to As.

I don't know what community colleges you were going to apply for in California, but most I looked into you were just put on a huge waiting list after your prerequisites were done. I'm from California as well. The one I was looking into all you had to do is finish micro, anatomy, physiology, and chemistry and then you were added to the bottom of the list. The usual wait time is two to three years. But you had to have at least an A or B in everything before you could add your name to any list for any community college I looked into in California. That's why I started considering 4 year universities and schools in other states for nursing school. I'd rather deal with a point system than just be waiting forever.
i already retook the anatomy once.. my school only allows one retake and alot of nursing schools frown on retaking any pre-req more than once
ive been researching, alot of Community colleges in CA are switching over to the Multi-criteria system (actually all will soon, because its a state mandated law). and so they look at work experience, additional spoken languages, additional classes taken.. etc..
i was just wondering if anyone with grades similar to mine got in?

The cc I attended in California is based on a lottery system, not GPA like most programs. I had aC in a few prereqs and still got in, graduated in December. PM me for more info. :)

I go to Fresno City College in Fresno, CA and they go off of a lottery based system. All you need to do is pass all you pre-reqs with at least a "C" and put your name on in the lottery. Some people get in right away, others wait for years. I'd say if that's not available shoot for an "A" in everyhing so your options are open. But I know that repeat policy can get in the way a lot of places. Just apply to as many as possible. I'm sure you'll get in somewhere. Good luck!
