Do grades really matter to future employers?

I am a Sophomore nursing student and I am most likely going to end up with a B or C in all of my classes. I am worried that it is going to hurt me in the future with the chances of being hired. Will my grades be very important?

I have never heard of an employer asking for your grades.

My high grades were vital in getting a Summer Internship that led to a job offer.

Average grades are not a death sentence, but doing extremely well in school comes with many rewards.

I've had employers ask for transcripts before.

The residency and nurse grad programs usually ask for them. One of ours even required a certain grade on an exit HESI (if you school doesn't do the exam, you have to schedule it and get above their required score). After your first job, I doubt grades matter much at all.
