Chancellors doesn't work that way.

HAS ANYONE HEARD OF DISTANCE LEARNING SYSTEMS? THEY A TUTORIAL COMPANY TO AID IN OBTAINING YOUR DEGREE FROM EC. THEY HAVE A LIVE ONLINE TEACHER/TUTOR AND YOU LOG INTO A VITUAL CLASSROOM, OR CAN LATER WATCH THE RECORDED CLASS SESSION. THEY ARE KINDA LIKE COLLEGE NETWORK BUT WITH A TEACHER. IF ANYONE HAS ANY BAD OR GOOD TO TELL ME PLEASE HELP BEFORE I SIGN THESE PAPERS.

I have a friend who signed with them a few years back. As she explained it, they work similar to the other publishing companies (college network, rue etc) except the are online and are "guided" by an instructor. You don't receive any "credit" they just prepare you to sit for the tests (ECE, Clep). I saw the same problem with them as I read/hear about with the other publishing companies; if you change your mind or for some reason don't follow through, you still have to pay. I saw no real benefit to signing with them for myself (couldn't afford it anyways).

My friend never completed her studies with this company (she had a baby), but still has this huge debt.

DO NOT BUY THE BOOKs OR THE LEARNING GUIDES. THEY ARE HORRIBLE AND A HUGE WAST OF MONEY.

I fell for it, spent about $3,000 dollars and I still had to buy book from the book store. The guides are very cheap, and poorly put together. For example the are do not have a glossary or index. The books from the excelsior book store, are more than enough material to prepare you for the test. Please do not be a sucker like me and buy into their scam!!!!
