Does anyone know if there is a good affordable CNA training program? Last place I checked it costs about $900. Thanks!

I am taking mine through Front Range CC and with the COF, should run me about 500 or so.
EDIT: Including fees (program, parking, malpractice, etc) the final total came to $693.75 I was able to sign up for the 4 month payment plan, so I can make payments of 173.43.
How long is the PROGRAM? Mine is three weeks long.
It is 3 days a week from 9-2 for about a month, with one week (I think 3 more days too) of clinicals, but we don't know when until we get the class. They offer other schedules as well. You have to dig into the calendar to find the info... their site is a PITA to navigate!
Is $500 for in-state resident? I am not a CO resident, how much would that cost me? Should I call their office to find out more about CNA program?

Arapahoe Community College in Littleton and Red Rocks Community College in Lakewood also have CNA programs. I'm sure their cost is the same as Front Range since it's all part of the same system but they may be closer depending upon where you live.
I got my CNA at National American University in Denver (Colorado Blvd); it cost $500.00 but that was over a year ago so it may have gone up. Their cost was not based on state residency. We had classes 3 days a week from 8:30 to 5:00 for about a month; and 3 days of clinicals at a long term care facility. I'm currently working as a CNA at OrthoColorado Hospital (part of St. Anthony's, Centura Health).

Were you able to find a CNA job soon after you finished the class? I am not worried about the cost or the class, but the thought of not being able to find a job after spending hundreds of dollars worries me.

You will get a job no matter what. They always need CNAs. I wouldn't worry about that. Its great experience too!

St. Lukes Ministry downtown is also known to have a great CNA program that is very affordable. They also are very understanding to low income individuals.
