Honestly you probably won't get hired as a new grad into an ER. It's hard to get into an ER without ICU experience. I would suggest doing your practicum in a Burn/Trauma ICU and try to get a job there. Then after a year or two try to transition over to an ER.

I am graduating Dec from ACC with my ADN. My Pre-req GPA was 3.98 and my Hesi if I remember correctly was 78

I am on pins and needles waiting, and if I don't get in I have 10 days to revamp my application for the Summer 2011 start date!

Hey! I talked to Connie because decision letters were suppose to be sent out at the end of August but she said that they are a little behind and decision letters will be sent out at the end of September. I applied for the traditional program.

Unfortunately, you HAVE to have the Chem requirement completed before the application deadline. I applied to CU for January 2011 start date, but if I don't get in, I have to wait until June 2011 to apply again since I am taking chemistry this semester...it all kind of sucks, and it takes such a long time since I am only taking a class a semester, since I work two jobs

St. Lukes Ministry downtown is also known to have a great CNA program that is very affordable. They also are very understanding to low income individuals.

What are the pre-requisites for CSU-Pueblo. Is a semester of chemistry fine, or do you need a whole year? Also do they require a foreign language...if so how many credits? I find their website hard to understand as a possible transfer student. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Hi, I applied for the January 2011 start time for University of Colorado School of Nursing...anyone also waiting to hear? I heard we will find out end of August!!

I heard that they will be adding chemistry, but they plan to grandfather in applicants that don't have it. I heard that they will post the new requirements after Oct 15th so that the Summer 2011 applicants are required to have it.

tlt0616- If you end up taking Bio 111 online this summer you are probably going to need your own at home lab kit and a microscope. If you do, I have both and they are both unopened and could give them to you half off! Let me know. I ended up not using them because I realized online classes just aren't the best for me.
