I am signed up to take the NCLEX on Monday, July 23. I am pretty much freaking out:uhoh3: as I know most all of you are!! I just feel like I have not studied enough, but I am tired of studying! AHHH! Let me know how you made it through the last couple of days! I am so scared because I have a dream job, in L/D and I am afraid of losing my GN licence if I were to fail! AHHHHH too much stress!!

don't worry if you can. take these last couple of days to try and relax. I got so stressed out before my exam that I thought I was going to get an ulcer. Despite the month or so of studying I had done I was convinced I knew nothing. I decided to go to an early dinner and a movie the night before my exam to take my mind off of things. It worked, I went home and went to sleep (well tried to) got up early the next morning, took my test, and after the three days of anxious waiting found out i'd passed.
By now you've done plenty of studying and should look forward to passing that test.
....by the way after the test like most people i was totally convinced I had failed and I didn't.
Good Luck, i know you'll do well

I keep telling myself to calm down, but my anxiety is through the roof. I take my NCLEX this Tuesday 7/24 and I am starting to freak out. I have been doing tons of questions for the past 2 months and my scores weren't bad. The past few days my practice exam scores have gone down. This is making me feel unprepared. How can I calm my nerves?

it sounds like you've done all the right things to prepare. I just took my exam last monday (7/16), so that feeling of intense anxiety is still very fresh. Other than realizing that you really are well prepared I don't have any suggestions. Make sure you know your lab values and try and get a good night of sleep the night before.
My test was over before I knew it. 75 questions and an hour after I had started the test my screne turned blue and I was done. My test had alot of lab related questions, alot of priority, and a number of medications that I had never heard of before. I think the key to the NCLEX is doing tons of practice questions (which it sounds like you have done). This way you really know how to the questions work and can get by without knowing the everything (which nobody can).
Hope this helps

Oh I can so relate...I just took boards on Wednesday...and found out today that I passed...the whole thing is so stressful.
You got through nursing school, you have studied, you will pass the NCLEX.
I understand about being sick to death of studying..but I just couldn't bring myself to stop doing practice questions right up until I tested...i even looked over some notes right before entering the testing center, lol.
You most likely have all of the knowledge you need now. In my opinion there is no real way to study for the NCLEX anyway because the questions I got were SO random....practice questions helped me the most.
I'm thinking positively for you...you can do it!

Before the day to my test date.I felt so much that i've not prepared enough.I even planned changing my exam date further but thanks tomy DH that encouraged me to go and take it that i've prepared enough so i did and by the special grace of god.i passed with 75 questions and first trial. So,its usually like that and know that you cannot study enough if you are waiting for the day yourself will tell you that youare ok.All you need do is to go out there and take the exams cos i know that you'll make it.As we were told in kaplan, take your time with the first 100 question cos u never know,u mightbe cut off at 75.goodluck to all of u.

I take it on Monday, too! Like you, I'm a nervous wreck and don't want to lose my GN job, either. I'm still studying tonight, but think I'm going to at least go to dinner and the movies tomorrow or the day after. I can't do questions forever. Good luck!!!!
Thanks!! I am getting a massage tomorrow so that will hopefully help me a little bit! I have to drive 2 hours to Spokane Washington to take my test and we are staying the night on Sunday night, so I am not taking any of my books, I am just going to TRY to relax!! Good luck to you on Monday! I hope that by Wednesday we can both say that we passed....oh God PLEASE LET ME PASS!!!!
