BTW, I'm finishing reading this book: "Intensive Care: The Story of a Nurse" by Echo Heron (Intensive Care: The Story of a Nurse: Echo Heron: 9780804102513: Amazon.com: Books ).

It's a pretty good story that gives you a better understanding of other people's experiences in nursing. It's a paperback, and when I'm done with it next week, I don't want it to just sit in my bookshelf.

I bet that experience in journalism helped you write a great essay, though! And there's a lot of weight being placed on essays, from what I've heard in the info session.

Last year, the first letters were received as early as May 2nd and 3rd. So, yeah, I think we're looking at about 2.5 (!!) more weeks of waiting.

Julia, congratulations on making this year's cohort! How do you like it so far? I'm keeping all of my fingers and toes crossed for the next 2 weeks :) I hope to hear something by Saturday, May 4. So, the official 2-week countdown will start in a few days.

I'm from the town just south of Curry campus. What would you like to know about the area? I think there are a handful of local people here, and we'd be happy to answer your questions.

I'm from the town just west of Boston -- called Newton. I'm originally from Colorado but came here by way of NYC (and spent 2 yrs in San Fran). I like Boston so far. It reminds me of an East Coast version of SF in many ways.

I'm waiting to hear back as well! So nervous! I keep trying to think positively but I have had my fair share of rejection letters this past year. With the overwhelming amount of applicants now a days, it seems like even those qualified are not getting into programs because of the limited spaces : ( I hope we are all waiting on good news, because Curry seems like a great program!
