Hi,
I am in an accelerated program and its killing my GPA. Like I may get a B and three C's or worse a D or two D's. I did not attend the school during undergrad which helps me leave this school off anything I will apply to next. My friends are telling me to stick it out but I worked hard to have a high GPA to let a bad program ruin it. I have a desire to achieve grad degree and the rate I am going that looks shot.

Maybe the program is not for you at this time in your life. You definitely have an advantage because it sounds like you did not take your prerequisites at this school and have more choices should you decide to move on.
Have you taken some time to evaluate why your grades are not satisfactory? What about your level of commitment to any nursing program? How good is your level of support at home, work, school?
I hope you find what you're looking for.

I don't work is the sad part. I can only think I did not like the campus when I visited as an undergrad 5 years ago. I don't care for the Orlando area and here I am at a place I didn't care for thinking I could put up with it for 15 months. My family is not here only friends of family members which are very helpful but not family. At times I do feel the need for more support. I moved to my own place and did most of that on my own. Mentally I have not been here for a majority of the semester. Had a difficult time with a clinical instructor early on that did not help. Only recently I started to enjoy nursing again. No, I did not take any courses at this school which helps if I do decide to jump ship after this semester.
Do you feel somewhat isolated from your classmates, friends, and family? I'm not trying to assume, but from what I've gathered, it does appear that you do not have strong connections.
We are told constantly that to succeed in our program, the number one reason for success is a very strong support system.
You didn't mention any obstacles, so I can only assume that you are not married, have no children, and do not work. If that is true, then I will assume that your main obstacle would be lack of support. If this is the case, then why not attend a school where you feel connected, and attend a school closer to those who will give you the support you desire?

I believe you are right. No kids or marriage. My classmates are people I do not feel connected to what so ever. I have dealt with some personal losses of very close family members within the last two years. Hmm its going to be a climb getting back to where my family is and trying to get into a school there. This has been a learning experience indeed not terribly costly but I guess its better now than getting kicked out.

You will need to deal with the causes of your academic problems before you go to a traditional school or you may find yourself in a similar boat.
Absolutely true!
Not sure what you mean because I am already at a traditional school. I can only think my causes are depression from being where I am at.
I'm sorry, I thought you said in your first post that you were in an accelerated program. Many students in accelerated programs find that they need to transfer to traditional programs.
Oh got ya. I am in an accelerated program. I thought you meant I needed to figure things out before a traditional college. I asked my school about the regular program and there is not much difference in the course load. I hate that these grades will be on my transcript forever absolute blow to the heart.
