CT LPN programs?

I want to be a nurse and know logically be best route would go straight to RN school then the long about way. However, the hospital I work at has had 3 to 4 openings since January. It's funny since the hospital is pushing away from taking nurse's with associate degrees and implementing a policy by 2020 nurse's with associate degrees need a bachelors degree. I notice more opportunities of LPNs in the state.

However, I can't see any justification paying $30,000 for LPN school and was looking into the state programs. Only issue is I need to work I can't go below 24 hour's. With the LPN programs in the state they don't appear to be flexible or for the working person. My fiancé is in the program 5 days a week. Where another friend is in nursing school only 4 days a week. They can pick clinical hour's that adjust to their schedule I.E. the weekend.

Curious how flexible is the program? Is there am evening program?

I like the fact I be done by the time I be accepted to RN school at a CC. Also be a year ahead and have a better chance of getting into a CC school in the state.

Then from there can do a RN to MSN.

I make $24 am hour as a tech at the hospital I work at. On average how much do LPNs in the state make?

Wow techs in NJ make 18 max. $24 is starting pay for LPN

I'm a PCT, not making $24/hr. What kind of tech are you, and how long have you been at that position?

I'm also in an LPN program, working 32 hours per week, with 2 teen sons, and a wife - school being 5 days per week. Tough, but doable.

Moretonel I'm a CNA, working in a rehab hospital techs make $18 Per Diem.

I'm a pca in a rehab hospital in Florida and make 14 per hour we cap at about 16 . I start my LPN in August and its 32 hours a week. Our state pays about 24 on average

Well Technically in the state of CT from what I hear the LPN'S make $25 to start in certain cities; however if you are already making a dollar less why would you want to spend that kind of money on an LPN course? If your looking to make $40 + you might as well invest your hard earned money on the RN degree. Good luck!
