CSULB Spring 2017

Is anyone applying? :) I thought I'd start a thread.

If you are right then I am sol. When I talked to admissions and told them my situation and they said my acceptance was dependent on my acceptance into SON and if i was accepted there, than I'd be good. Anyhoo it's out of my hands there's nothing I can do at this point but wait. I have a contingency plan in place if it doesn't work out.

Well, when you do the supplemental application it asks you there if you have at least 60 transferable units and I forgot what other one there was, and if you put no then you can't apply so if you were able to apply then i think you'll be fine?

I have 60. I'll let you know how it pans out mate.

I wish you the best, and I hope I am wrong....because you are really competitive and have a good shot at getting in I would think.

Anyone here anything please post

Sorry guys, I've been busy so I couldn't post much. Anyway, here's my stat.

Overall Score: 9.33

Science GPA: 3.78

GE GPA: 3.77

TEAS Overall: 73.3%

TEAS Reading: 59.5%

Military: 1

I'm not really happy with my low TEAS score but usually I always do bad on timed assessments. Hopefully I can make it in this semester or I'll have to wait until next semester to apply and retake the new TEAS!!! ;((

If there are other people out there that want to comment or have questions, please just post anything so we can know you or even help you out with questions that may have been bugging you. Don't be shy (haha). In the previous years I would check out threads from spring 15 and fall 16 religiously. So from what I found out from spring 15 thread, they received the communication exercise emails during the last week of September, I just hope the same will happen next week to all of us because this waiting game is driving me insane.

Lastly, here are everyone's scores:

thegameisthick: 9.69

n_tony: 9.33

kimchichikim: 9.29

s.abi: 9.21

panic36: 9.12

zzzmedina: 8.4

Just add to this list if anybody out there wants to post their score. ;)

Here are my grades.

Gen Ed GPA: 3.71

Science GPA: 4.0

Overall TEAS Score: 89.3%

TEAS Reading Score: 78.6%

RATING: 9.21

I hate my reading score, it brought my rating down so much. Anyways, I hope I still have a shot at getting invited to the interview.

Does anyone know when they will be sending out invitations for interviews?

I just got my email from Monalisa a few minutes ago. I'm moving on to the next phase for the communication excercise. It looks like this applicant pool wasn't as strong. She said the cutoff was only 9.15 with anything lower interviewing for alternate positions. So looks like everyone here is part of the main admission group.

I just received the same email from her too. I will see you guys during the interview, if not then orientation. ;) Good luck guys, all of our hard work has paid off. If you receive this email then your chance of acceptance is really high.

Yeah, I got the email too! I am just happy to be given the opportunity for this exercise. Now I'm hoping to nail this to improve my score! :) Good luck to everyone.

I got my email too!!! Usually they say if you get an interview and you're on the actual list you usually get in, unless you really really mess up on the interview, I hope it still holds true

Hey everyone, i just got the email i sit at

Sci Gpa 3.73

Ge Gpa 3.5

teas overall 86.0

teas reading 76.2 (i was definitely a victim of the math change 99% =( )

veteran 1pt

(also 2 co-requests complete)

which apparently puts me at 9.7

has anyone heard of applicants getting this email and not getting accepted ? Also I've heard that veterans get accepted easier for whatever reason, if someone could address this that would be great thanks
