what do you mean the point, you mean the time frame? I think it was around mid march. I got initially accepted to CSULB, placed on the waiting list for CSULA. I then got a call a couple of days later from the nursing program at CSULA saying I was accepted. I think that at that point I was pretty set on CSULB.

I need your guys' opinions!

I've been accepted to both CSULB and UCI and am torn between the two. I pretty much live in the middle of both schools, so distance isn't a problem for me. Here are my thoughts:

- CSULB: Their program has been around much longer, and is one of the best in CA. Clinicals are at either LB Memorial or at the VA depending on trimester/basic.

- UCI: An all-around great school with a fairly new program. There are lots of amazing potential clinical sites in the area such as UCI Medical Center, Hoag, Kaiser, etc.

Setting aside the fact that UCs are more expensive than CSUs, which would you guys choose? Do you think there is a difference in prestige when it comes to job placement afterwards? Thanks!

Actually with basic you go to different hospitals each semester at csulb. Last year they were at long beach community and this semester they are at a different hospital. You change every semester. I would suggest csulb, but idk much about uci. Good luck!

It's really up to you at this point, but in terms of prestige, I would choose UCI, I know people who have graduated with the same degree from CSULB and UCI and those who graduated from UCI found jobs much quicker than those who graduated CSULB. When potential employers look at your resume, UCI would stand out, but again it's up to you. My friend is finishing her second year at UCI and she truly loves her school. I was number 1 of the alternates.Those that got accepted have until may 10 to decline or accept the offer.

Does anyone know if we are allowed to take Pharmacology and Pathophysiology before we start the program?

Yes, you are allowed to take those courses if you can enroll in them.
