I did! I mailed it January 4th. I emailed --------------- asking if it was received, and she said it was received yesterday, January 11.

Hello you guys, I applied to CSULB after talking to a counselor and even told them that I still have to take microbiology in spring, but when I looked up on CSULB for the nursing application, I saw "All 8 Nursing prerequisite courses must be completed by the end of Fall 2017 if applying for Fall 2018 admission. Nursing prerequisite courses may not be in progress in Spring 2018 if applying for Fall 2018 admission. Exceptions will not be granted under any circumstances."

Does this mean I can't apply?

I don't think you would be eligible to apply yet I checked CSULB's FAQ and #16 does state that all prerequisites must be completed.

@Annie Why don't you look into some ADN programs also? BSN programs are hard to get into mostly in Cali

I'm not someone who is applying for Fall 2018 and I know this thread was set for people applying for Fall 2018 but I just wanted to get your thoughts on taking CHEM 140 and BIOL 208 (Anatomy) at the same time (in Fall 2018)? So far i've heard that chem 140 should be taken as the only science prerequisite in the semester because the teacher is bad. Has anyone tried taking anatomy and microbiology at a CC in the summer (8 week session)? Or should i try taking chem 140 (at csulb) and microbiology (at a CC, doesn't require CHEM 140 as a prereq) in the Fall and just have anatomy in the summer? I'm currently enrolled for physiology for Spring 2018.

From what I've heard, it's a bad idea to take two science prerequisite at the same time. I'm going to assume you live around the OC. All of my professors that I've had so far at Goldenwest,Orange Coast, and Coastline community college were really great! As long as anatomy or microbiology will be your only summer class, it should be quite manageable. It'll still be challenging since it's at a faster pace, but it's not impossible to get an A during the summer.

However since even ADN programs are competitive to get into nowadays, I would suggest just taking one science prerequisite per semester so you can get the best grades! It's all up to you though, good luck :)

Are the ADN programs in Socal all have lottery systems? Because this ADN program that I applied to, has a waitlist system so people can get into the program in a year or a year and a half. Instead of having people wait 3-5 years for the loterry system to pick them.

For the four ADN programs that i'm applying to, it's all point based. Whoever has the highest amount of points gets in and there's no waitlist. So if you aren't granted admission, you would just have to reapply again during the next filing period and hope for the best

oh that sucks, my program just requires you to get a 75 or higher on the Hesi and the chancellor's formula and then your admitted. None of these points based systems stuff. I am honestly so grateful for this because my GPA is a 3.2 and my Hesi score is an 88 which to be honest will not even be competitive for the BSN programs in California. :)

I am also applying for the Fall 2018. I have 9.31 overall score, what seems to be the baseline for acceptance?

Also I am submitting my application today and I was wondering if you have to submit a check with the application?

Two of the other programs I'm applying for have you mail them an application fee so I just wanted to be sure.
