  1. School hasn't been bad at all for me. I did well first semester but I did get a B in a GE class but it doesn't count toward either of the GPAs for CSULB's nursing admission requirements. I'll be taking physiology this coming semester though, do you have any tips? It's going to be my first science prerequisite that I'm completing.
  2. Hey everyone! I'm not someone who is applying for Fall 2018 and I know this thread was set for people applying for Fall 2018 but I just wanted to get your thoughts on taking CHEM 140 and BIOL 208 (Anatomy) at the same time (in Fall 2018)? So far i've heard that chem 140 should be taken as the only science prerequisite in the semester because the teacher is bad. Has anyone tried taking anatomy and microbiology at a CC in the summer (8 week session)? Or should i try taking chem 140 (at csulb) and microbiology (at a CC, doesn't require CHEM 140 as a prereq) in the Fall and just have anatomy in the summer? I'm currently enrolled for physiology for Spring 2018.
  3. I'm not gonna be working during the summer haha. The only other commitment I would be having is a single four-hour hospital volunteer shift once per week that I could do on the weekend. On the community college's website (Saddleback), the summer schedule of classes hasn't been posted yet, but last year's Anatomy class and Microbio class both had lecture and lab four days a week Mon-Thu. Microbio would take from 9 AM-1 PM (lecture and lab), and I would have a three hour break before Anatomy, which would be 4 PM-8:10 PM (lecture and lab). So I'm just not sure when I would be able to find the time to study because I'm essentially going to class all day (unless I review microbio in the three hours that I have before anatomy). I go to CSULB, and that program is basically impossible to get into. I'm taking CHEM 140 in Fall 2018, and everyone I've talked to who has taken that class said that I would need to focus all of my energy into that class since the professor isn't good.
  4. Hey everyone! This is my first time posting here. I'm currently a first-year pre-nursing student in college and I was wondering if any of you have taken Anatomy and Microbiology (both with lab) at the same time in the summer, which would be an eight-week session I believe. I'm taking both courses at a community college. How did it go for you and do you have any tips on how to survive??
