CSUEB anyone?

Published

Has anyone heard from CSUEB? I know emails are supposed to go out the first week of May. Today is the first day or the first week and I want them to go out now!!!

I am nauseous with tension, and certainly can't get through a week more of this.

LMC's lottery is supposed to be posted this evening, too. Something has got to give soon hair all my hair will fall out. Torture.

Anyone heard?

I still haven't heard (and my head is about to explode) but .... (oh I hope I am not setting myself up for a broken heart) I did go online and check my application status. It use to say "provisional acceptance" to the prenursing, and now it says "Matriculated Transfer." I hope that means what I think it means!

Holding my breath ....

I'm with you! The wait is killlingggg me. Hotflashn, you are still able to access your application? For some reason, it says i have the wrong username and password everytime i try to log in. and i know thats my correct username and pw. am i in trouble?! =P

anyways, best of luck to you!

Are you using the "My CSUEB" site or the "CSU Mentor" site, Muimui? I can't access my Mentor application any longer, just the CSUEB site that uses the Net ID EB provided. Then I could check the application status, but not the actual application. I do know that they have maintenance scheduled for this weekend and I have gotten a couple error messages that resolved by refreshing.

Good luck. I can't wait until the wait is over.

Oh man, this is the last school I'm waiting for...I'm holding my breath on this one. I didn't get into USF or SFSU so I'm not very optimistic about this one, but we'll see. So it said "matriculated transfer" on your status? Because when I logged onto the website, it just said I made it into the university (general admission) but didn't state anything about the nursing program. Ugh. The wait is killing me! Update me if you hear anything new.

Anyone else hear from CSU EB? I am getting more impatient by the minute -_-

I went to the nursing department today to ask them when they were going to send out the letters of acceptance or rejections... and the lady said this week. . . so we'll see!

I am afraid if I went in I might lose it and sack the place looking for clues! Or start loudly demanding they let me know immediately. You know they know! That is the part that drives me crazy. So, I just called and that is what I was told, too. Though, last week they gave specific dates of notification and that didn't happen. I am not putting stock in hearing this week now, either!

Can you get on the MYCSU website now? I can get on and do more things than I used to, but I wonder if that is because of the "prenursing" acceptance from way back when.

Ohhh I am waiting too. It is now the SECOND week of May and they said the would mail letters out the first! Grr why cant they just let us know? I got denied from Sonoma State, wait listed at HSU, and im not really thinkin ill get into CSUEB.....but its worth a try.

I received my e-mail on my personal address yesterday. As I told HotFlashn, it stated that I was ineligible for the Nursing Program because I had either:

* missed the transcript deadline

* did not submit my TEAS results

* did not meet the minimum GPA requirement

I found this odd as I had turned in my transcripts the FIRST day the Fall grades had been posted, I took my TEAS at the CSU-EB Concord campus (and those should have already been forwarded into the system since it is the same school) and my GPA is well above the 2.5 requirement. My friend received the same e-mail, although what threw the both of us off is that she is a student at CSU-EB (the main Hayward campus), so how is it possible that they would lose her results or test score if she is already a student? We were also discussing whether or not this was simply a generic "rejection" e-mail. If so, it is VERY misleading to say the above statement, because it brushes off the blame on prospective nursing students, making it seem as if we are at fault for our denial to the program. They should at least clarify and simply say the competition was (indeed) tough and that we didn't make it in. I already e-mailed the coordinator back yesterday and I'm still waiting for a reply. I know I'm not the smartest student - I have an overall GPA of 3.7 and a pre-req GPA of 3.4, but to send me a denial letter saying that I'm ineligible for a program because of those types of things is ridiculous. Hopefully you all receive better news, and I hope this info helped.

CaliLvr000: If you don't mind me asking, what is your GPA and do you have any supplemental criteria (foreign language, volunteer work)? I wasted $$$ applying at both Sonoma State and Humboldt when I realized that I couldn't even apply for the nursing program because they only wanted us to have one last pre-req in progress (I have two -_-). Missed it by just a teensy bit!

& hopefully you get a response soon, CSUEB takes forever!

Well I have a 3.8 general GPA and 3.9 GPA for my pre-reqs. 84 on the TEAS and I took it at the Concord campus for CSUEB. I had volunteer work for Sonoma and Humboldt. However, CSUEB wants "paid work" so I couldnt get any supplemental criteria for CSUEB. I didnt have language points either... well you should apply to Humboldt for the spring and they also give you 5 points for just having an address up there! Who knows if ill get into Humboldt, I sure hope so though. They only received 160 applicatnts this time around....I thought you could have 2 science and 2 non-sciense in progress?
