CSN Fall 2011 rn program

I applied today! I applied last semester too, but because of the massive amount of applications, I was denied. Crossing my fingers for FALL!!!! Has anybody else applied?

I took the pharmacology online and I didn't think it was too bad- but I love pharmacology! I loved my teacher though too and in this program, the teacher you get matters. Since names cannot be posted, I recommend you come to the Charleston campus before your new student orientation and talk to other current 1st semester students. Pharmacology is the only class you get to register for that is not in the "lottery" assignment, and you are even told NOT to register for it until you get the other classes, but why wait and register last for Pharm? Makes no sense...

Also, if I could have avoided Nursing 101 instructors in an online course- which they did not offer when I went through, I would have done so!:)

I'd love the convenience of an online class but my only experiences with them in the past were awful. One was PSC and the other Spanish, I ended up dropping them and retaking in person. Are the instructors that bad?

We can't register for Pharm yet, everything is closed.

I wonder what the orientation tomorrow is going to be like and what we will all be doing for 8 hours.

We just have to wear our normal everyday clothes, right? And just bring the toxicology test payment receipt? What about the forms that need to be signed at the end of the online handbook? I don't have a CSN ID yet but a driver's license will do, right?

I'm kinda nervous.

All you do is sit there and listen to/take in lots of information. Bring a pen and some paper because you might want to write some of the stuff down. You do get a lunch break too =o)

i wonder if this information is the same for every orientation. I'm not so sure. But i'll be there regardless. I just hope i can stay awake for work. lol

I'm only nervous about finding out what my schedule will be for Fall. Also, our original paper mentioned bringing the yellow drug test receipt with us but mine was given to me on white paper? I hope thats just a minor detail and I don't have the wrong thing!

I also have a white receipt.

Okay, I'm sure we're fine then

Well, sounds like they got smart to that aspect. Sorry. I am having a rough time myself...

I am sorry you didn't get in, you probably will the next time around. I know what its like to want something so badly and not get it. You guys are all so cute and excited about this, very positive attitudes and all- no matter what-- it is very sweet.

i am lost... for alternate, do we have to turn over the handbook signature forms after the orientation or we can turn it over next monday.... coz i didnt turn over mine...i thought it was only for accepted students...
