CRNA class size?

Published

What was/is the crna program you attend(ed) and its class size?

I've heard between mid-teens and low-thirties to be most common currently. Though I've also heard responses anywhere from 5 to 72, both of which seem unlikely (or at least highly atypical).

Specializes in ICU, currently in Anesthesia School.

TWU (largest program in the country I think) admits approx. 150 each year (graduates approx 100 each year)

my class is 14

there is a program in the northwest that admits 6.

Each program is limited only by the clinical sites they can provide. In other words, each school could absorb as many as they could fit into a lecture hall for the didactic, but to maintain the minimum procedural #'s required- they would have to have ALOT of faculty and OR's to provide the opportunity to learn.

Specializes in Anesthesia.

Barry University...72

We have 20 in our class at Allegheny Valley in Pittsburgh starting this August.

100+ students?...Wow, my undergrad class wasn't that big. How does one school find the clinical sites and faculty to prepare so many SRNAs?

If the class size is so large chances are they have numerous clinical sites in different states. Good luck
