CPNE workshop advice

I just became CPNE eligible. I am trying to figure out how much to budget for workshops and which ones to do. Does anyone have any recommendations? I plan on doing one in person boot camp and one online care plan help. Any advice would be appreciated! Does Excelsiors workshop help at all? Thank you for any advice! I am very overwhelmed!

I received my CPNE training from a former EC clinical evaluator who lives here in Georgia. This was not an EC workshop, though. We were trained based on what was in the current edition at the time. Have you looked for CPNE students on Facebook? I'm sure you'll find what you're looking for there, as far as recommendations, expected costs, etc.. Good luck on your examination!

I did Sherri Taylor's on-line care plan workshop, and attended the Chacellor's Care Plan Lab in Indianapolis about 3 weeks before my CPNE date.

Chancellor's lab is a 5 day lab, covers all of the areas of care, offers plenty of lab practice with coaching, and on the last day there is a mock PCS with feedback from the instructors. It's a bit on the pricey side, but well worth it in my opinion. I passed CPNE on my first try, and honestly don't think I would have had I not gone to Indianapolis.

Thank you so much for the feedback! I did find a group on Facebook. I have gotten some advice. Money is tight, and so I want to invest it wisely.

I did the Excelsior workshops both the online and the weekend one with EC instructors. They were NOTHING like the CPNE. I failed the CPNE. I wouldn't waste my money on those or on Rob's CPNE. Just spend all you time in the study guide and the portal. Memorize all the Excelsior videos and do it exactly like their videos. It doesn't matter if you perform a skill perfectly. If you do not perform the skill THEIR way, then it is a fail.

Thank you so much for the advice!

Wow @Rearp! I am so sorry you failed the first time. I am almost complete (I have head-to-toe beginning June 26th) and I am NERVOUS about the CPNE! when do you plan to retake the CPNE?
