CPNE

Current wait time from CPNe application acceptance to actual CPNE date is currently 7-12 months. It can be longer depending on which sites you indicated that you would be willing to go to.

Many people take and pass the CPNE nearly every weekend. (I passed last April, after a 12 month wait...)

Keep in mind that all nursing programs have wait times, some just make you wait at the beginning of the program, as opposed to waiting at the END of the program with EC.

I have a co-worker that passed the CPNE at the end of June 2016, he passed his FCCA in August/September of 2015.

He called at least once a week for a cancellation and had multiple sites selected.

I know it is getting sad with the long wait times for it. I was upset with my wait (got a date in 4 months, was not ready, got one another 2 months after that).

Hi! I just passed Aug 28, 2016...I was only waiting since March 2016...I called after a couple months(when I felt ready)...I did called at least 4 times a day, for cancellations. I was offered earlier dates, but declined them...then when they offered me the Aug date, I accepted. Keep at it! I was also frustrated at first, just keep emailing and calling if you feel ready!

How long do you have to wait before they offer you a cancellation date?

An associate of mine completed the FCCA back in July and had accepted a date for October. But he cancelled. So it also just depends on how far from home you are willing to travel for your CPNE, as to how soon you get a date.

I have had all my documents for the CPNE accepted last month. Is there any certain point I can start calling for cancellations? Is there anything i need to wait for before I can start to search out a sooner date?

I started calling as soon as everything was excepted...especially those items that were hospital-specific. I'd call at the beginning and ending of every week.

My associate just recently cancelled a recently-accepted site in Albany, NY. It was going to be a serious plane ride, but hey, whatever it tookto get a date.

That's supposed to read 'accepted' instead of "excepted".
