Check with nursing homes in your area. Sometimes they will train you as long as you agree to work with them for a certain length of time.

All you can do is try and find some place that might give free classes. But they may be hard to find or non existent.
If you really want to be a CNA just try your best to save up to take a class. Education many times does not come for free. It takes money for people to run any type of classes so it makes sense that we have to pay something for CNA classes.
You have many options to find affordable classes. Check out the red cross. When there is a will there is a way. If you really want to be a CNA just work at saving the money.you can do it. Find those extras that you can cut from your budget and save it up. Many times classes are less then $1,000. Good luck

Check with the employment assistance or unemployment office. Ask if they will provide the training.
In the state I live in, you can go to the unemployment office and take a test (to make sure you have basic reading and math skills). You attend a class where they teach you basic employment interviewing skills, how to write a resume...etc. Then, you will qualify for free training as a CNA. They also provide you with the tools you need for the class.
Also, where I live, the state will reimburse you for the class once you begin working in a skilled nursing facility or hospital.
Check to see if this is available in your state. You can also ask your local Red Cross about ways to pay for the class.
