CNA training

Published

OK. It's me again. Is there anywhere in the Lansing area (I would even travel a little if I had to) that offers CNA training? I'm seeming to hit a road block here as far as this area is concerned.

Specializes in L&D/MB/High-risk antepartum; Hospice.

Check your local Red Cross chapter....they offer CNA courses for some where around $600

Another suggestion is to contact the various LTC facilities around you and ask them if they know of any training in the area - In our area a couple of the different facilities hold them onsite - If the ones in your area do not they possibly could tell you who does.

Best of luck

All you need to do is to call your information directory and tell them that you need the phone # for your states nursing registry.

Then you call them and tell them that you want info on where the

classes are offered. You should be able to find an employer that

will pay for your classes.

Specializes in critical care, med/surg.

There are a few LTC facilities that still offer a class, if you're interested in driving, I think the nursing home in St. Johns still offers one there, you would have to call and ask.

i am also looking for cna programs in lansing wouild love any info anyone has for me ty

I am looking into a CNA class that is in Grandville but they said they are going to be in Lansing too. It is the C N A Academy or Medco Institute. It is a two week course. I don't know if this is what you are looking for but I thought I would try and help. The cost is $550. Their e-mail is cnaacademy.com or their phone number is 1-616-261-1914. Good Luck.

Specializes in AGNP.

Lansing Community College has CNA training. I just noticed that this post is kind of old, so you might have found someplace else by now.

Angie33 - Thanks for the info. I've emailed them and am awaiting a response re: Lansing classes.

AnnaN5 - Thank you also. I've checked into LCC and that's probably the route I will end up going. I didn't want to have to wait for the semester to start, and I don't know if the full-time day schedule will work for me, but it's an option.

Thanks again everyone.

Not sure where you are from but some of the local colleges offer the CNA class as well, I know Kellogg Community College in Battle Creek offers it and I believe Kalamazoo Valley Community College may offer it as well

Are you interested in working in hospitals?

I know Troy/R.O. Beaumont--if hired has CNA training. It's a few weeks long. Maybe check some local hospitals....you are interested in working at. Or else call any facility with CNA's--they'll tell you where you can get training. People are always in need of CNA's...and are usually willing to help show you the way into becoming one.
