Anyone else's state have a horribly long wait time after you take the state test? I'm in KS and they say "3-4 weeks". I thought it was a joke by the instructor but after talking to some other CNA's at the BLS class, its real. A few that took the test the first week of December didn't get theirs till well into January.
The worst part about it is that all the job app's I've been told to put in by various people (Oh, we're hiring. Put in an app) are being rejected cause I'm still waiting on the dang certification. I took the test on Jan 4th, and its been a long long painfull wait.

Indiana had a 6-8 week waiting period when I got mine.
I was lucky enough to get hired while I was still waiting, though...I just showed them the letter that said I passed.

Wow, it was one to two weeks here in Wisconsin!

Well we don't even know if we passed the state test till we get the cert. They have the website with the NA registry that a few of us are checking daily just in case they update it before the 3-4 weeks. Actually getting the cert in the mail might be another few weeks.
Ahh, that would drive me crazy! Haha. We were told whether we passed or failed immediately after finishing the skills segment of our test...and we weren't even allowed to take the skills segment if we'd failed the written part. I can't imagine having to wait that long to find out...hope they update it early so you don't go crazy! :)

After taking both the written and skills test, I was told afterwards that I passed. The wait time for my certification was 3 weeks, but I saw my name and number on the state registry website a week after my exams.

It took me about 2 1/2 months, b/c in Maryland you have to undergo a state & federal background check, as well as fingerprints. So that slowed the process up, I think. However, we do get "temporary" licenses that are valid for 90 days. And after the test we were immediately notified if we passed or failed.

It took around a little over two weeks to get my certification in Texas.
Argh. This wait is killing us. Classmate of mine was given a job at the LTCF we did our clinicals at, but they are holding 2 spots open for her pending her certification. We were given a sheet saying we passed the class and, by law, can work as a 'Trainee 2' which is more or less a job-shadow position that pays. But NO ONE is hiring for it. Been 18 days. Still no clue if we passed, failed, forgot to fill in our name on the bubbles correctly.
