CMSRN in December

I'm signed up to take my CMSRN exam 12/13/14 I am super nervous I've heard it is a very hard test. Any test taking strategies are advise from those who have taken it? Is it like the nclex? What should I expect? Help!

Keep working hard! Focus on the endocrine system, ortho, GU, and those pesky ABG's. Some of the testers appear to have them on their tests and others like me didn't. Too bad, because I was ready for those buggers, but not questions on penile implants!

Yay!! Congrats! What did you think?

I thought it was hard. Lots of weird questions. There is no way to prepare for that test. Just glad it is over.

This is why I think experience is the key to passing

hey! would you mind re-selling your review book? I am looking everywhere online for a decent price on a review book and not having much luck.

Couple of questions:

I know that you need to be in Med-Surg for at least 2 years before taking the test. It doesn't matter that 3 months of those 2 years were orientation, right? Meaning, if I started a Med-Surg job on March 5th, 2 years later on March 5th I should be eligible?

Also, what review book are you guys (above) talking about? What would be the best guide to study, if one exists (I realize that's subjective, I'm open to opinions :) ).

Is this like the NCLEX, in that, more than one answer can be correct, and we must answer the most correct answer? Multiple choice only, or select all that apply, as well as picture/audio questions?

Any information is helpful :)

Yes that will be enough time your orientation time counts. Any review book is great the ones i mentioned in an above posting are the ones i used can't remember the names off hand. It reminded me of the nclex us. Can't really give details over it because they make you sign something saying you won't. Good luck you will do great
