    My school had a tradition of spray painting and basically shredding our uniforms (very traditional white dresses) and decorating our caps. We then paraded through the hospital wearing said debauched uniforms to the cheers of the patients and the nursing staff. We then went to the roof of the nursing school (6 story building) and tossed our caps off which was captured annually in the local paper. It was so much fun and soooooo wouldn’t be allowed these days which is really sad.

    My instructor had us play jeopardy with clinical questions in 2 teams.

    It was fun and we got super competitive.

    I had a clinical instructor arrange for us to shadow RNs in specialty areas for a few hours on our last day. Wound care, PICC team, OR, cath lab, etc. It was a cool opportunity.
