Hi, I just got offered an interview for CHOC. Anyone who has interviewed there has advice for me? This is my first interview as a new grad so I am very nervous. Any tips for preparation such as dressing, interview setup (is it a panel?) would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I would recommend you brush up on the types of patients you will see (the unit you're applying for). They will likely give you scenarios about their patient population.
Do a little research on the hospital & be prepared to ask questions at the end of your interview - it shows you're really interested.
GOOD LUCK!!

last year they asked me mostly personality based questions and when was a time you saw someone do something wrong and how did you fix it.
thats all I remember
thanks for the replies so far =)
jasonerin25 - applied on april 27th. the positions are still up...so i'm pretty sure they still haven't gotten to all the applicants yet. =]

What units did you guys apply for? I applied to the Med/Surg 5th floor but my status still says under review.
I'm interviewing for a NICU spot
I had my interview today...I think it went very well. From everything I saw and what we talked about, this looks like a great hospital and an excellent new grad opportunity! I hope they call me back with good news! :)
Wow! That's awesome you feel that! Yea, I actually precepted there and its a great place to work at/for. I'm interviewing for PICU. Was it a panel or was it with the director? They told me it's with the director along some managers, CNSs...
Did you took a lot of time prepare for the interview?
^^ I think every department is doing their own way of interviewing...but my interview was with two nurse managers and the nurse educator. As far as preparing goes...I at one point had written out sample responses to a lot of typical interview questions, so i reviewed that prior to going in. I also spent a lot of time on their website trying to get a good feel for their mission and what they value. I also spent some time coming up with a good, honest response to the typical question "why do you want to work here".
