Hello,

Have anyone used this software "Chem Tutor Excalibur?"

Thanks

I've never heard of it. Did it come with your book?

I'm looking for a chemistry CD-ROM tutorial myself. In my bio class we are doing cell respiratation, and we are going to do the KREB thing. I have ZERO chemistry education. Every other subject I've been able to pick up the textbook and self-study it. Not chemistry. Something about it numbs my brain LOL. I think I need to be able to visualize it. My molecular model kit just arrived from Amazon.com this morning!

Anyway, I can't tell by the reviews on Amazon if it's good for understanding the basics of chem? Does it lay a good foundation? If you know, or have Excalibur already?

No, I don't have the software, I was looking on Amazon.

I ordered the Excalibur Chemtutor this evening. I've been tinkering with the Prentice Hall Molecular Model kit I got this morning. It is amazing how much it helps to visualize it right in front of your eyes instead of reading about it, or drawing orbits. Of course, I have no chemistry knowledge. I hardly know what an atom is. That bad.

I have to say, I got the "Complete Idiot's Guide" or "Dummies" chemistry book (can't remember which), and it's been a godsend. Easy to read, and makes everything crystal clear to me.

I did take college level chemistry, but that was 27 years ago, when I was basically majoring in Cerveza. So, not a lot of it has stuck with me.

Good luck!

I have the Chemistry for Dummies book & it's WONDERFUL!!! It makes a lot more sense to me than the textbook.
