Chemistry question

Hey guys,

Myself and a friend are enrolled in an accelerated chemistry class that begins next month. The one thing we completely spaced is her being 6 months pregnant at the moment...

We've left voice mails for the teacher & department head at the school, but no answer yet... Do any of you know if the chemicals used in the lab are stuff that a pregnant or nursing woman should NOT be exposed to?

Thanks

There might be one or two labs that would not be good for her. In our class, there was only one night that we worked with something like that and the instructor made sure to say that if you were pregnant (or possibly pregnant) that you should skip that part of the class and leave the room.

For the most part, it probably will not be a problem, but you might want to email the instructor to make sure.

I also have a question about chemistry, so I'll just add it on to this thread. Does it make a difference to nursing schools if you took intro to chemistry as opposed to taking chemistry 1?

I think that it depends what schools you are considering. Some schools only care that you have a semester of chemistry, but other schools want specific courses. It would be best if you contacted the schools you are interested in and asked them specifically about the courses.
