***Chemistry - Fall 2005***

Who else is taking Chemisrty this semester? I thought maybe we can check in with each other, and help each other out.

If there is enough of us maybe we can even get a sticky.

I am taking Health Science Chemistry 1.

That is great that you have a great professor. I hope I get a good one. You may have to share on how he is teaching everything. lol I am so nervous about this class. My class starts on the 29th.

I had my first class today. My professor seems like he is going to be great. He is around 70 I would say and just as sweet as can be. He brought all kinds of props, I mean all sorts of stuff to class today. He is really breaking everything down into very simple terms. I think that I am going to survive chemistry after all:D :D

Hopefully you do get a good instructor. I will be more than happy to share:)

I hope that I am not getting ahead of myself by thinking all will be ok in this class. I hope I REALLY UNDERSTAND everything. Having a great instructor is half the battle though!

I'm going to have to keep up with this post. I'm taking Intro to Chemistry. I'm so chemically illiterate. I don't need it, but I'll probably end up taking the second class to follow everything up.

Any good Chemistry websites out there?

I am taking Descriptive Chemistry 112 this fall which I believe is basic chemistry. I already purchased my books and it looks like alot. I am also taking psychology. I was going to take A&P 1 this fall as well but have decided to drop it. I heard through the grape vine that I have the "hard" chemistry teacher. :uhoh21:

Are you going to Eastfield to take your Chemistry? Is it CHEM 1405 that you are taking? If so, what section number are you? I have to find some chemistry websites. I had it on my old computer but had to get a new CPU and have to go on my old computer to get the info.

That is the truth! I always hope for a good teacher. Does not mean I want an easy teacher, I just want a teacher that knows his/her stuff and can explain it good while being patient with questions. I always do so much more better when the teacher is good.

I'm taking Chem 106...I think it will be ok but I haven't had algebra in 15 years or so. I got 'Algebra for Dummies' and I am brushing up...hopefully that will be enough!

I am taking Bio Organic Chem this semester hopefully. All the labs are filled, and I was told to just show up and try to get a spot. I am very nervous about this class. Everyone says it is horrible and hard. Hopefully I will do fine. It's been many years since I had Chem in high school. This is a pre req at my school and I have to get at least a B in this class. Yikes :o

I'm taking Principles of Chemistry this fall semester.

I received my Chemistry textbook in the mail yesterday (school starts 8/22). I was flipping through it and almost cried. LOL! :scrying:

I said to my husband, "This has to be the most boring class ever!".

I'm actually looking forward to Psychology, Anatomy and Physiology. I find them very interesting. I'm even looking forward to my required Algebra class and learning the math skills that I never had. But, this Chemistry book looked painfully boring, I can't imagine how I'll make it through!?!

One day at a time, I guess...

The same case here. I got my Chem textbook yesterday. When I was flipping through it, the words "boring and sleepy" appeared in my mind. I will be taking Chem 101 which is my 1st science pre-req. I am prettty nervous but glad that there are lots of support here!!
