Cheating

I went to a nursing college that is very expensive. I had to withdraw from it because my wife was about to have our baby and I had to reevaluate my finances. I studied so hard and was getting good grades. I was in my third semester and found out that over half the class was cheating on the med surge tests. I am not exactly sure but they were finding the exact test questions on quizlet. I wanted to say something but another student said that even if I did the college would not do anything because it makes them look better if the students are getting good grades. I don't know what to do! I believed the other student that told me this because this college is notorious for only caring about the money. I believe they do know and just don't want to do anything because they are trying to get another type of accreditation. Anyone have any advice?

You have unreliable, second-hand information that may be irrelevant even if it is true. My advice is to worry about yourself.

I'm not exactly sure how this would be cheating? Cheating would imply that they are getting the answers to the exam BEFORE taking the exam - like using test banks or getting questions from someone who took the test earlier. If they are going on quizlet and are using questions from there related to the subject they are being tested on, I would think they have absolutely no idea which one of those questions, if any, would show up on the exam. How could they? It's just like studying by answering questions in an NCLEX book or the back of your chapter and the instructor uses a similar or exact question. Even if they have exact questions that show up on exams that they also saw on quizlet, I would think it wouldn't happen very often. Now, if they somehow are using their phones during the exam, and do a search or something on quizlet for the exact exam question, THEN, I would consider that cheating. But, if they are able to do that while taking an exam and lots of other students are doing this and they haven't gotten caught - I would think the school definitely knows. How could the instructor not notice that if tons of students were doing it?

Let them cheat. You keep being honest and study for your tests the right way studying lecture notes, reading books. When they go and try to pass NCLEX... laugh in their face
