Chatham vs NOVA DNP program

Anyone currently enrolled in or graduated from Chatham or NOVA's DNP program? Have any insight on either program? I know the part-time program at Chatham is 18 months and Nova's is 27 months but I want to know if an 18 month program is feasible with full-time work and 3 kids with lots of commitments.

I applied to Chatham to start this spring. I should hear something soon. I have reached out to current students on FB and I have heard nothing but good things. I heard it is a great program and very doable working full time. I too have 3 Kids and work full time.

I also applied to Chamberlain as a back up. After speaking with Chamberlain, I was leaning towards their program until I talked with current DNP students at Chatham. It sounds like a great program.

I applied for spring start also :)

I found out last week that I am accepted! Good luck to you!

Are you thinking about part-time or full-time?

Congratulations! They told me they are reviewing applications this month and making admission notifications mid November. I work full-time plus, so will be looking at part time.

Best of luck! They accept students by the 15th of every month until November 1st. November 1st is the deadline for Spring. I hope you get in. I'm so excited. Inbox me as soon as you find out! Are you going to be full time or part time?

Did you get accepted?

I did! I will be doing it part time. My job and toddler are too stressful as is right now to consider full-time.

I just applied for later admission; I have a five-month-old and I am super busy, but I finally picked Chatham from my list of programs! Chamberlain is also a backup because I teach there and would get a tuition discount, but that takes a year to kick in. I am looking forward to hearing how you like it at Chatham!

Looking at Chatham also but do not have the required 500 hours to get accepted?. It looks like I would have to take the one class twice in order to apply for the DNP. Also like Capellas EdD.

Yeah, I would have to take their NUR 697 once because I have 317.5 hours between my two MSNs. If I am accepted for Fall 2018, I would take that course in the summer semester first.

You may still apply to the program. You will just start the semester after you complete your hours.
