Charty CPR requirement

Anyone know a place I can go to for the CPR class. A few places I have called are booked until February. I still havent reached East Jefferson but Im not optimistic about what they are going to say.

The American Red Cross has a great class (CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, which Charity will accept) that they offer at their Metairie office. I believe the cost is $65 and they seem to have excellent availability for classes. Good luck.

Childrens hospital has CP classes all of the time- call the regular phone and ask to be transfered to the educational dept. Even though you don't work there, they will make an exception. It's not very expensive.

Hi,

I'm in the same boat as you. I did get in touch with EJGH and I was told that they don't schedule any classes in December, and that there next class is Jan 29. I called Charity. The instuctor at charity does the classes on the side. I called and left her a message but she hasn't called me back yet. She also gave me the number to another person, who does the classes also. Of course I left the numbers at my work, but if you still need them I can give them to you when I get them. If you have any luck anywhere else let me know. Thanks

FYI,

Its crunch time at Charity- finals week. You may not get a response until things calm down.

Please, that would be helpful. Also, I have put my name on a wait list at Delgado. Someone in Delgado's EMS department said she will schedule a class before the holidays if she gets a few more students to sign up.

Please do not post names of instructors/contact persons and/or other individuals. Thank you.

The American Red Cross class that NOLATeefus mentioned has a class on Jan. 5th at the Metairie office. I just called and registered, the # is 504-620-3146. HTH!

Everyone should check with their nursing programs. Many programs will not accept BLS (CPR) unless it is from the American Heart Association. Better get this clarified before taking a course only to have to repeat it.

Good luck everyone.

I am going to a class at Delgado on Tuesday the 18th. I guess they got enough people to sign up. Anyone else going?

Can you give me more info on the class at Delgado? How do I sign up? It would be much more convenient for me rather than waiting for the Red Cross class in January. Thanks!

I'll be there as well. Just hope I remember to bring some cash for the class and the card. $55, geez!
