Chamberlain RN to BSN

Anyone out there in the RN to BSN program at Chamberlain? If so, were you mandated to sign some Educard agreement for a loan? How does that work? THanks!!

Yes, I was required to do so. I don't recall it being any big deal. I think it is just how their billing worked. I graduated last June from there and everything went smooth with financial aid the whole time.

yes, I'm currently enrolled as well. I think it has something to do with reimbursement as well, like giving them permission to receive the loan directly. But I could be wrong

Yep, had to sign the Educard agreement, even though I didn't use it. I was a pay-as-you-go student until the last semester, when I finally gave in and got a student loan so I could just get it done already. LOL.

I'm halfway through and I love Chamberlain. I signed the Educard but it's not a big deal. I don't think I'm even using it.

How is Chamberlain? I'm looking at WGU, Concordia in WI, U of Phoenix online, and possibly Chamberlain. Wherever I can get the most credits will prob be where I go.

I love Chamberlain so far.

I just completed my third class with them (classes are one class per every 8 weeks.) I have a couple friends who are looking into Ohio, who love that as well. Good luck with your search

Her Own Catalyst, what do you love about Chamberlain? I'm still waiting to hear from Ohio Univ so I continue to peruse other options. How would you describe the course load? Degree of difficulty? Time demand, etc? WyndDrivenRain I sent you a PM!!!

Thanks for any feedback.

So far I've taken 2 math classes and a nursing class with Chamberlain. All the gen ed courses are taken with DeVry, and I can say that I really like the layout of Chamberlain's website much better than DeVry's.. as far as the course load, Transitions (which is the first nursing course you will probably take) was definitely doable. It had one large paper at the end of the 8 week session and maybe one other assignment added to the 2 posts you must do each week. Algebra was easy. That's a self-paced course, that you could complete in 2 weeks, or 8 weeks. Statistics took a lot of work, but the live lecturer made it fun. I'd say I spent about 8-10 hrs a week on Stats. This was also a DeVry requirement so you had to post on 3 separate days, 3 times. I'm going to start nursing informatics next week. The only downfall to chamberlain is definitely the pricetag.

I didn't get it sorry you may want to send again. I found the workload doable. It was harder than my graduate program, not sure why. I have attended two MSN programs now and would still rate Chamberlain as harder than both of them. You will come put prepared for grad school. If I remember right each class had at least 4-5 assignments that were either papers or exams or both. I thought stats and economics were the toughest for me personally.

For me the experience at Chamberlain and my experiences with them since is what has me promoting them so much. They are so easy to work with in terms of scheduling/financial aid and they work very hard for you even after graduation. They have overnighted transcripts for me to several universities, they follow-up, they are friendly and professional. Their library facilities and access to databases like CINAHL are unmatched. You get access to every article not just a select few like in many universities(my grad schools for example!). It is just a smooth, easy, transition all the way. You get what you pay for. I wish more than anything they had an MSN-FNP or a DNP program. I'd be there in a heartbeat.

It was easy. It was one of the easier classes, in fact. One of the classes I'm in now has a paper due weekly.
