I am licensed in three different states. Can I use the same 30 ceu's for each state. Obviously, I need to do the individual states requirements yearly. In the past, I have done 90 ceu's (thirty for each state) but a co worker recently told me I could use the same 30 for each state.
Does anyone know the answer to this?
I have asked other RN's, google'd the topic and searched this site as well, however, I cannot find the answer.
Thanks

CEU are not one time use specific as far as I have ever heard other than time taken specific to renewing.

The education is the same regardless which State looks at it....and they don't get "used up".
You wouldn't take three ACLS courses because three different facilities want you to have it done, right?
I can't believe you've been doing THREE TIMES the amount of work you actually needed to do! Kudos for continuing education, but.....a credit is a credit is a credit. By now, I think you'd be running out of course options soon!

Agree with PPs - one "set" of CEUs will do. Even if a state has some specific requirements (like mine does), those courses can be used to meet the requirement in other states as long as they are from an accredited provider.
