Cedar... New Grad Program 2011?

the person who interviewed me said that open house will be on Jan 19 and i will be emailed an appt time with it during the 3 hours of open house that day... hope to get the email soon for more info... =)

So they're not gonna send out emails until Jan 19th. My interviewer didn't give me any info. My interview lasted 7 minutes.

I felt the same way, volunteerpioneer. The call caught me off guard, too! My baby was fidgety while I was doing the phone interview. Well, I hope we all get an invite to the open house.

i don't know when they will email us but the person told me i would get an email and that the open house is on jan 19... i had the interview while babysitting my two kids who were banging on my cabinets and were being loud... so hopefully he was able to take notes despite the noise... haha... he prolly asked me about 8-10 questions and it lasted for more than 9 minutes...

Ok So....someone from HR called me a couple weeks ago asking if I would be available for the open house. I asked if I needed to apply online because I saw the application and she said no she would be sending me everything, just to keep Jan 19 open...I still haven't heard anything (aka I haven't even applied) so I'm getting a little nervous...

Question, did you guys rank a specific dept you wanted on the application? Or is it a general new grad program? Im assuming multiple depts will be at the Open House...do we talk to all of them or one? I'm kinda in the blue here...

I don't think the application asked us to pick a specific unit. It was just for the new grad program in general. During my phone interview I was asked my unit of choice, but was told that I would be able to talk to managers from all the other units at the Open House.

The application wasn't for a specific unit, but I think the open house allows us to talk to the managers for the specific units we want to work at and hopefully make an "impression" for hire.. I think this is 10x better than how USC ran their application; after I received my rejection from them, I found out it was because the unit I applied to didn't even have an opening! grrrr!

i havent gotten anything either, but I've also heard jan 19th and that 50 were getting hired outta 200. Does anyone know how much the pay is by chance?

Not sure specifically but pay is probably around 30/hr (if I had to guess...thats what most are in the la/oc area but also depends on shift).

Hi all.... anyone get the email with their appt time for 1/19, yet?

I interviewed last week and the person I interviewed/screened with said they will send out the email/appt time once ALL of the screening/interviews are completed. I was just told to keep the 19th open...

Anyone have different or additional info....?

I got the same info....and have gotten nothing yet. I'll let you know when I get some new information. If I don't get anything by this Wednesday, I'm going to ring some people up for sure.

fyi: I went onto this website glassdoor.com and it said that RNs at Cedars get around $35/hr min...so I'm guessing new grads will get about that much.
