  1. to those who have started last feb 7 - what did you do during the 2nd week of orientation? when are your scheduled shifts given? were you able to get your desired shifts? and what are your feedback now that you guys are on the floor? thanks =)
  2. that's nice to know... you can also do it during your orientation... just be there at the clinic at 7 am... and come back after 3 days at 7 am as well... then the same goes for the 2nd step... you can also bring in copy of your chest x-ray (within 1 yr) if you have a positive result due to the bcg vaccine... but then they will still have to do the 1st skin test i believe... =)
  3. yes... still $33.50/hr to sit... not bad... the HR person told me today... and for the physical they do vision, optional flu shots, blood draw for titers, and 2 step TB, at least for me... but i have to do it during orientation because i have to come back for the results and all.. the people over the HR and physical exam were really nice...
  4. yeah i got the email too... called and spoke to Lina and was told to disregard... and i wasn't the first one to call that time... it's like an early april fool's joke... haha
  5. hope everybody had a good 1st day... does anyone know if the medical insurance kicks in right away or after a probationary period? thanks =)
  6. i just spoke to Liza, and she said they do offer relocation reimbursement... up to $2000... just bring in receipts like airline, car rentals, gas, deposit money, etc. during the physical and there is a form that needs to be completed... this is for the peeps coming from out of town... =)
  7. BenGRN - thanks... i think i'd better call Liza and find out how that relocation applies to us... obiwanjj - thanks as well for the info... after the orientation, were you given a schedule already of how your work shifts are going to be? and did you have the option of choosing days or nights for your shifts? thanks =)
  8. i've read some old posts that the hospital covers some type of relocation reimbursement... does anyone knows if this applies to new grads too? thanks
  9. got my rejection letter today... i'm not surprised because there are a lot of great applicants for the program... it's ok... i got offered a job at cedars =) good luck everyone...
  10. i also start on feb. 28 and would love to meet up too... =) i'll be moving from norcal to socal maybe 2nd week of feb... let me know if you guys are planning something... thanks...
  11. that's ok... we can live with that right?? what's important is that we are all getting jobs... still better than nothing...
  12. yay! =) slowly but surely... hang on everyone...
  13. @kalami08 - i read from previous posts that anything goes, except in the OR/PACU, they wear teal... =)
  14. i ranked medical-surgical first, then outpatient infusion, and lastly critical care... i figured there will be more competition in critical care... but really doesn't matter because there are a lot of good candidates too... yesterday during my interview, my fellow applicants were so great in answering the questions, so i'm thinking... oh boy, that's it, 6 positions? No chance for me with that... lol... but anyways it was a good experience, and i thought the interviewers were nice and polite... it was just mind boggling and nerve wrecking to think of the answers for the questions on the spot... =)
