Hi everyone! Im one of those who did not receive the email last week. CONGRATULATIONS FOR THOSE WHO WERE ACCEPTED ALREADY. I would like to ask one big favor for the next person who will be receiving call, can you please ask them if not receiving that email last week would already mean "im out"? Thanks in advance!

They called me back today to confirm my address and request my official transcript. I asked her that because my friend didn't receive the email. She said just wait, they are not done. She looked for my friend's name in the list but didn't find my friend's name. She then told me not to tell my friend because this is not the finalized list yet! I'm sure somebody (among 90) will turn down the offer so there might be more spots. 90/150- That's 60% chance so don't lose hope yet!

Thank you so much NurseVN for your optimism... I'm not losing hope and I am praying every day that i get that call... and regardless whether I get this position or not, I won't give up!!! I know that there are jobs out there, I just have to look for them!!!

Thanks NurseVN!

You're right jazzymin27! We should never lose hope!:)

Does anyone know if Cedars has a scrubs uniform, like UCLA does? If not, I'm going to go buy some fun scrubs to celebrate. :)

@kalami08 - i read from previous posts that anything goes, except in the OR/PACU, they wear teal... =)

I got called today ~4pm PST. I start Feb 28. I'm moving to LA from out of state. I'm wondering if anyone else is looking for a roommate? I think it would be great to live with another person or two that are in the program. I can be reached by PM or email. :)

I agree! I just got a job offer for a hospital closer to home and heart, and turned a cedars spot down. Hopefully that opens it up for someone else who needs it-- The uncertainty the past couple of months has been depressing, so I certainly relate to that and wish everyone the best. Don't lose hope! And for everyone who's gotten a spot CONGRATS!:yeah:

I called them today because I got a job offer somewhere else and needed to know ASAP. Cedars is gonna try me out! 2/28th start date. I just have to pass my background check and health screening they said.

They also said that they are calling ppl for their first february cohort at this time and not working on the March one yet.

I'm just wondering how they're gonna handle 90 new grads.....I mean even stanford is only taking 9 and UCSF taking 30. Maybe one of you are gonna be my preceptor????

I am one of those who are still waiting to hear back, anxiously.

Dehoo, thanks for the info. That kinda calms my nerves...

Congrats to those who got in! For those who got accepted what do we need to bring in during the appointment? Do we still need to order official transcripts from our school or the unofficial in the portfolio good enough already?

For me, they asked for official transcript (lucky I always have a couple handy), DL, SSN, RN license, CPR card. If u want direct deposit, then 2 voided checks. Liza said they will explain everything tomorow when I'm there. The whole appointment will take up to 4-5 hours :-(

I was told to just bring two forms of identification. I later got an email telling me to also bring my licenses/certifications and a direct deposit slip or two voided checks if I want direct deposit. Nobody mentioned anything about a transcript.
