CCSF ADN Program Fall 2014

Just found out I'm #76 on the list for CCSF's RN program for Fall 2014.

Anyone else in this lottery? Thoughts? Comments?

Not so sure what I should be thinking/feeling at this moment, lol.

Thank you. I wonder what's going to happen with the clinical sites since they don't know where to send their students. I just hope they have some acute care facilities.

For anyone accepted into both ccsf and csm, what are you going to do?

At this point I have decided on CSM. I'm going in to turn in my paper work some time this week before Friday's deadline and will be declining CCSF on Monday if all goes well. I had an issue with my immunizations which is why I haven't already declined CCSF.

Best of luck to you! Either way, someone on the waitlist will be very happy :) I 90% sure I'm going with CCSF- after hearing they're not closing, it put me at ease.

deee627,

I'm also having trouble with CSM immunization stufff as well. Regarding CCSF, does this mean that they will be fully accredited for the next two years? Im starting to think that their losing their contracts with hospitals in the bay area BECAUSE of their accreditation mess..

That's a good question. As far as I ready they have met almost all of their goals so they are good to go. I don't think the losing their units has anything to do with the accreditation because the unit is closing. The dept is closed til early July so I hope soon they give us an update on rotations.

Hi All! I had a friend that completed CCSF RN program and really loved it. She is now working at SF General and already enrolled in a Master's pathway program. I'm hoping this is the norm. Since, I am still on the waitlist for CSM, I'm planning my next round of applications. I most definitely will be applying to CCSF for Spring. Just from what I have heard, you get really great exposure at the program. Does anyone know anything about the CSSF-Accelerated Bachelor RN San Mateo program? Keep us posted on what you decide! Very exciting! :) Good Luck to everyone!

eeswim,

thanks for sharing your friend's experience! What is the CCSF-accelerated bachelors Rn San Mateo program that you were referring to? Is that the bridge program at SFSU?

Hi Hailyxo,

Yes, I meant the SFSU Accelerated BSN-RN program. I have been looking into it, as it seems like a good program. I'm torn between the 2 year RN and 2nd degree accelerated 1 year BSN. I guess, I will just apply to all of them and see where I get in! I wish the application cycles weren't so far apart. Good luck to everyone starting this Fall! Hope to hear about the experiences! :)

Eeswim, Hope you get a spot this coming semester :)

Thanks, RN_miadomsmommy!! Have you decided your plans? :)

Rn_miasmommy,

At this point, I am in the same situation as you are. With a daughter going to school and such I am leaning towards ccsf and will attend there next fall! I hope to see you there
