Hello!! I am currently in the process of getting my pre-reqs done through CCCOnline. Has anyone taken Bio through this school? If so, aside from the lab stuff, do we need anything besides the textbook? It's a little confusing because each of the 5 bookstores lists the required materials differently. Thank you!! :)

I took Bio 105 last semester (it was too late to get into Bio 106), its a pre-req for Bio 201 (A&P I). All I used was the text book and the lab kit. If you're taking 105, feel free to message me if you need to ask any more Q's. Hope that helps. :)
BTW, I'm taking Bio 201, HWE 100, Chem 101 this semester
Thank you for your reply! I am taking Bio 111. I guess I'll go with just the text for now and when I get started with the class see if that's all I need. Thanks again!! :)

What school is CCC online? I googled but I got a million different schools. Thanks.
Hello! CCCOnline is a "college" that you can go through to take online courses through one of 13 Colorado community colleges, (from any state you live in). You can get all of your required sciences done ONLINE!! It's great, at least I hope-I'm about to start next Monday.
Here's the website address, check them out, they are great.

I'm registered for the BIO 111 class. I just got my lab kit, it came in a box with chemicals, slides, tools, etc. You will also need a microscope ( which I also got). Still waiting for the book.

Those that are taking CCCO classes, are you finding them good because they are easy or beacuse they are so educational or both? :)

I'm an LPN and I got my pre-reqs in English Comp (excellsior), Sociology (CLEP), Lifespan Dev.(excellsior), World Religions (Dantes). I need A&P, Micro., & Biology. Which # test are these on CCCOnline as all the #'s are confusing to me? I'd hate to take the wrong ones. What is the price per course on these? Is the whole thing online including tests & finals or do you have to go to a testing center?

They are actually really educational. Being online of course, they force yoou to do a lot of learning on your own and work pretty hard. Seems pretty great so far!

Sand Dollar,
I'm pretty new to this site, and don't know if I am doing this correctly. I am registered to take Chem 101 this semester. I read that you took it. How was the class overall? What about the lab kit, is purchasing it absolutley necessary? It is so pricey!!

How would you be able to do the lab portion of the course if you don't purchase the lab kit? In order for you to get credit for a lab class, you have to be able to show that you were engaged in lab activities so that is why schools come up with these lab kits/sites. Expensive, yes, but you are paying so that you don't have to take the class in person at a school.
